Ghost Lands

Very limited edition of 5 + AP platinum prints on thin gampi

Since 2023, I've been photographing quiet landscapes and abandoned structures primarily in Ireland, Wales, and Scotland—places the Celts called "thin places," where the boundary between the physical and spiritual world seems to dissolve.

I'm drawn to unassuming scenes: a concrete fishing perch disappearing into a stream, a roofless structure returning to the hill, a singular tree standing apart from the copse. These aren't dramatic vistas but patient places that reveal themselves slowly, carrying both history and an almost otherworldly stillness.

These images are hand-printed in platinum on translucent gampi paper. The combination feels right for the subject—platinum captures the particular quality of Celtic light, soft and luminous, while the delicate gampi itself becomes a kind of thin place. Light passes through the paper as it illuminates the photograph, creating something between presence and absence.
